Bring Me Back Down to Earth – A Poem

With a glimmer of hope, here I stand
But I cannot fathom out.
Is it beyond the realms of possibility?
With a glimmer of hope, here I stand
Will things go as I planned?
Will time get better? I doubt.
Do I have the ability?
With a glimmer of hope!

Hopes so low and dreams so high,
And this beatific reverie!
My aplomb in times gone by,
Is living on a memory!
But this dream will never die,
I will be where I’m meant to be!

For me, the sky is the limit
Even if all bets are off,
And the path could be tough!
But I won’t stop albeit
Having hindrance while attaining it.
Even if I know my worth,
I do feel blue sometimes.
But I will try to be at my prime;
I don’t want fleeting joy and mirth,
Bring me back down to earth!
Please bring me back down to earth!

Yeah I’m feeling blue, this instant!
For in reality, my dreams are distant.
I don’t want fleeting joy and mirth,
Bring me back down to earth!
Please bring me back down to earth!

Thank you. Yeah, this quarantine has made me do things I had always wanted to learn. I tried to draw few sketches of my loved ones too during these days. I still don’t have much idea (or let’s say a good tips) to make the artworks perfect, but I do really enjoy doing this. Take care, I hope you are doing well.๐Ÿ™
